Health Education Awareness Project

OUR Aim is Reaching to the Communities OUR Objective ROKO(Stop) cancer 


Roko Cancer Trust & the Government of Punjab will start our campaign in faridkot district on 3rd May 2010 at civil hospital Faridkot, the Deputy Commissioner Faridkot inaugurate the Roko Cancer First camp, and address to local public, MLA S. Dhillon & S. Mantar Singh Brar also will be there as special guest. Roko Cancer Trust will be running our program under the gueid line of Dr. Harjit Bharti Civil Surgeon Faridkot, Roko Cancer work in this district for three month and conducting the 45 camps in all over faridkot.

As you know early detection is the key to cure of cancer and the knowledge about Prevention and Early symptoms is of paramount importance for simpler and cheaper TREATMENT OF CANCER. Roko Cancer has launched another project of educating and awareness with Volunteers to educate the public especially students in Universities and colleges and with their help reaching to the community at large. Our this initiative was launched by Mr Manpreet singh Badal (Finance Minister Panjab) in Malwa region on 2nd february2010.

Our Awareness unit goes to villages and conducting the breast cancer awareness with the help of Anganwari workers,  about four to five volunteers team work on this project, showing the documentaries on breast cancer awareness to  villagers’ people and deliver lecture on breast self examination to all ladies, also distribute the pamphlet to women for BSE.

We want to work with minded organizations and trained volunteers to spread the knowledge.  By our staff and after working in this project will be given a certificate of appreciation for bringing the health of community as a priority. In their Community work Roko Cancer Awareness unit covered 7 villages in Giddarbaha Gurusar, Karaiwala, Badiaya, Lundewal, Bhunder, Smagh, Maniawala. In this month We appreciate the Anganwari volunteers in the region and our coordinator Dharminder Dhillon for this effort to launch it.
