The year 2017-18 has been significantly eventful year for Roko Cancer Charitable Trust. The two significant events have been; firstly selection of Roko Cancer Charitable Trust for implementing a Department of Science & Technology, Government of India sponsored project titled “Awareness program on Cancer in women in Malwa region” in association with Punjab State Council for Science and Technology. After the implementation of the program, we received encouraging appreciation from the Government and our role and performance was appreciated at all levels. Besides the above two landmark projects Roko Cancer also implemented projects for HitachiMoneyspot, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Oil and Natural Gas Limited (ONGC), Securities Intelligences & Services Ltd. (SIS), Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd. (IFFCO) etc. we have also connected with the Governments of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan for implementing Cancer Screening and Detection projects for them and we are hopeful that we shall get some of these projects on our merit and thereby take forward our mission to ight cancer and preventing deaths due to cancer, especially in women, by timely and early detection. On the whole it has been a very satisfactory and eventful year and I congratulate the team of Roko Cancer Charitable Trust for their excellent performance and I am hopeful that the year 2019-20 would be even more successful for us, I would like to thank all our supporters, partners, sponsors and donors for enabling us to achieve our aim of serving the rural masses. Our campaign in Punjab has been significantly successful wherein the slogan “NRIs Adopt Your Village” has been urging the NRIs to sponsor Cancer Awareness, Screening and Detection Camps in their respective villages. During the reporting year the Punjab unit of Roko Cancer Charitable Trust conduct 2496 camps in rural areas of Punjab.
